Built 1961 by Davis Cheverton of Cowes. Hull of mahogany, strip planked and edge nail fastened to oak frames. Traditional long keel. Sloop rigged. Nanni 3-cylinder 21hp diesel engine (fitted new 2007 with only approx 20hrs use & professionally serviced 2008). The Cheverton Crusader has appeal to both the family sailor and those wishing to undertake serious crusing. A fine lined yacht with comfortable accommodation and reputation for good seakeeping. This Crusader has enjoyed careful and regular maintenance with some £6,000 spent on her over recent years in addition to new engine.. Repainted 2008. Her owner comments most favourably on the Cheverton Crusaders performance under sail and seaworthiness.
